LDN 1622 Boogie Man Nebula
The Dark Lynds Nebula (LDN) 1622 appears against a backdrop of glowing hydrogen gas, only visible in the telescope with long exposures in the region.
LDN 1622 is located near the Ring of Barnard - a huge cloud surrounding the rich complex of emission nebulae found in the Belt and the Orion Sword.
