M31 - Great Andromeda Galaxy LRGB (Third Prize in the ASIWEEK 2024 Annual Competition)
The Andromeda Galaxy, also known as M31 or NGC 224, is a giant spiral galaxy with a diameter of two hundred and twenty thousand light-years and contains approximately one trillion stars. It is the farthest object visible to the naked eye from Earth.
This galaxy is located at an average distance of 2.5 million light-years, in the constellation of Andromeda.
